Our MY Hospitals Charity Team held a stall at at Pinderfields Atrium giving out out cakes and tea bags.
It was lovely seeing all the support being shown and the kind birthday wishes to our amazing NHS.
Hospitals have cared for around 400,000 seriously ill COVID-19 patients (NHS England,2021), including more than 100,000 admitted in January alone, along with millions more besides.
At the same time the NHS has rolled out the biggest vaccination programme in health service history; the fastest in Europe and most precise in the world. The NHS could not have achieved all of this without the skill and dedication of our people along with the support of thousands of returners, volunteers, other keyworkers and, of course, the public who played their part by following the social distancing rules.
The NHS's 73rd birthday offered us all a chance to say a big thank you.....
On our NHS 73rd Birthday, we were fortunate enough to be invited to join the Y4 Charity Committee at Stanley Grove Primary and Nursery School, whom very kindly voted to support and recognise how incredible their local NHS really is.
We loved seeing our young supporters in the Community, uniting on this day celebrating how fortunate we truly are to have such an incredible organisation. Joining in their Keep Fit class certainly made everyone smile, thank you for asking us to be a part of this colourful tribute event.
A huge thanks to Stanley Grove Primary and Nursery School, and to all that joined to celebrate our very special day.
A special thank you goes out to the incredible staff of The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust supporting the Spectrum Vaccination Hub who held a Mad Hatters Tea Party in celebration of the NHS’s 73rd Birthday!
The team raised £103.06 for MY Hospitals Charity with this fun and novel event, we are immensely grateful for your continued support and we hope you enjoyed celebrating with us.
On Wednesday 7th July, we had the pleasure of meeting some of the brilliant Morrison’s community champion’s.
The champions delivered beautiful hampers to A&E, ICU, Gate 44, Maternity, Children's & Adult Burns, to say a huge thank you to staff for their incredible work they do and continue to do at our hospitals. This was so very much appreciated by all members of staff who were greeted with this lovely gesture.
We would like to thank each champion for supporting MY Hospitals Charity.
