Akhtar's Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

We would like to say a huge thank you, and well done, to Akhtar, who successfully completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks in May.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks includes, Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The route is 24 miles (38.6km) long and involves 5000 ft (1600 metres) of vertical ascent.

Akhtar completed the challenge with the aim to raise money for the MY MRI Appeal, which will fund a brand new radiology suite at Pinderfields Hospital, as well as a state of the art 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner. This will bring many benefits to patients, including less travel time, and an all round better experience in our care.
Thanks to his efforts, and the generosity of his supporters he raised a phenomenal £6120!

We are hugely grateful for his perseverance, but also his immense generosity - thank you again.
