We are absolutely delighted to share the amazing donations from Dr Jackson Cancer Fund to help our Pinderfields cancer care.
An amazing £40,610 has been donated to purchase a 'VAB' machine and chair for patients undergoing a breast biopsy on a suspected pathway. This is the first machine and chair installed at Pinderfields, meaning patients will not have to travel as far for treatment. This procedure can be uncomfortable for patients, and the added extra of the chair makes the whole process more relaxed.
A further £3,120 has also been donated for Speech and Language Head and Neck training. This will support patients to regain function in swallowing and speech following surgery and radiotherapy for cancer treatment, aiming to improve their quality of life.
We are so grateful for these amazing donations which will help our staff to deliver the best care possible and help improve patients experience.
