Team Radiology Great North Run 2022

On Sunday 11th September 2022, our Team Radiology ran the Great North Run to raise money for a new state of the art MRI scanner as part for our MY MRI Appeal.

MY MRI Appeal is our current fundraising project, aiming to develop a radiology diagnostic suite at Pinderfields, to improve scanning capability for all patients at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. The suite will house a state of the art 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner, the first one in a District General Hospital in West Yorkshire. Our aim is to allow children to have MRI scans at our site, without having to go under general anesthetic, as currently, this is not possible, so they are having to travel to another hospital.

A huge congratulations to all our runners who completed 2022! The dedication shown was admirable to not only run to raise money for MY Hospitals Charity, but also in memory of Her Majesty the Queen.

Our team Radiology runners smashed their fundraising target surpassing their £20,000 goal with the help of an extremely generous donation from Jane McDonald.

A special thank you once again to Jane McDonald who matched all money raised by the runners.
