This year, the NHS turned 75! To celebrate, staff, patients, and the wider community all got involved...
A massive well done to MY Hospitals Charity’s Callum Pollard for completing his 75km bike ride today for the NHS’s 75th birthday. The event was tough, but a fun one, taking place in the main atrium of Pinderfields Hospital. Thank you for everyone who came to cheer him on and support him along the way.
DoubleTree by Hilton in Leeds City Centre also donated their signature warm chocolate chip cookies to the team at Pinderfields Hospital – from nurses and doctors, to admin and supporting units.
We are so grateful we could make this happen!

A huge thanks to Jackie Casterton, part of our Dental Nursing Team for representing the Mid Yorkshire NHS Teaching Trust as part of Rotherham's local Parkrun!
Jackie wore our MY Hospitals Charity running vest to represent being an NHS worker, celebrating the NHS 75th Birthday and covered an incredible 13.41 miles.
Well done Jackie!
Halfpenny Lane Junior, Infant & Nursery School raised money to support us in celebrating 75 years of the NHS, by having a blue non school uniform day.
And finally, a huge thanks to Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation who very kindly invited us to their Friday nights rugby game, celebrating the club's 150th year! The Foundation very kindly gave our Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Staff 75 tickets to come and join, celebrating 75 years of the NHS.
It was amazing to see everyone's support to our Charity on the night, we thoroughly enjoyed the cross bar challenge at half time and are so grateful for the signed shirt from Wakefield Trinity players. Thank you also to our wonderful bucket collectors who helped fundraise on the night towards our MY MRI Appeal.
Thank you for everyone’s support in celebrating The NHS’ big day with us, and we hope to make it just as special next year!
