Wakefield Cathedral Abseil
On 16th September 2023, a group of 6 brave individuals abseiled down the 247 foot Wakefield Cathedral. Well done to everyone who participated in the event, your dedication was genuinely commendable.
We would like to thank you so much for supporting our MY MRI Appeal, we truly appreciate it.
Lucy and Oliver were 2 of the brave individuals who have shared their story, why they wish to support our MRI Appeal. Lucy is terrified of heights, and wished to overcome her fear, while doing it for a good cause.
Our MY MRI Appeal is a £1.25million appeal for a new Radiology Diagnostic Suite at Pinderfields Hospital, including a state-of-the-art 3 Tesla MRI Scanner, enabling us to provide our patients with access to first-rate healthcare, facilities and service.
Currently, at Pinderfields, we cannot give children MRI scans, without being put under general anaesthetic - they are having to travel to Sheffield or Leeds to have this done. This new suite will mean children can be scanned here on site, overall improving their level of care with us.
